Bunny Rabbit - Medium - Adult - Female - Rabbit - Sophia Corona
Description
Update 6/2/09: Corona is a male and Sophia is a female. Corona and Sophia are now a bonded pair! They went into foster care together and can not be separated. Both of them have been with the shelter for much too long a time! In the early dawn of the morning they like to ring bells and toss around jingly cat toys to get your attention. As they are living now in a free-range play room it is unknown of how they will adapt to a cage together again, but if they have free- range in their new home, owners beware, like all rabbits, they chew. The probable reason of why they have been overlooked is because they tend to have a live their own lives personality and their future human companions will need to be understanding about their independence, especially Sophia. Dont think that they dont need love and attention, because all bunnies do! They just need someone to respect their space while spending time with them and not feel insulted if they ignore you. Theyll be slow to warm up to you. They are litterbox trained and their foster Mom is getting them use to being in harnesses to go for walks outside. Corona is the more sociable bun but hell let you know when enough is enough. He loves being petted on his head and getting back scratches too! Most rabbits dont like to be picked up because that means all four feet are off the ground and that makes them very nervous and Sophia especially doesnt like it. They really love each other and need to be together, they love laying out side by side. A home with teenagers or older is the best situation for these guys. They are afraid of dogs but that doesnt mean a docile dog wouldnt make a good match. If you think you can love and respect these animals for who they are please contact the Animal Refuge League to schedule an appointment to meet this pair of sovereign royalty! Corona is a beautiful boy that is looking for his forever home. After being adopted and then returned to the Coastal Humane Society for biting too much this poor fellow was transferred to the Animal Refuge League. Corona is a wonderful bunny with a happy personality says the rabbit room manager. During play-time, he can barely contain his joy and will do the Happy Bunny Dance over and over again! Corona has not bitten any staff member at the ARL and the rabbit room manager believes his biting may have been a result of frustration, due to lack of exercise. This sweet natured boy is now looking for a forever family that will allow him the opportunity to play and socialize with his people. If this sounds like the perfect bunny to add to your family, come see Corona at the ARL today! Rabbits are very social animals so our rabbits are available as "house rabbits" only. All of our rabbits are spayed/neutered before adoption and have begun their litter box training.
