These healthy, friendly boys were part of a litter born in Rhode Island on 7/1/09. The family had a male rat and the teenage daughter got another rat and put it in with the male without the parent knowing about it. As soon as she found out the rat was separated upon discovering it was a female. Of course, by then the female was already expecting eepers. Bok Choy is an agouti hooded. Diakon is a black hooded. They are being fostered in Somerville, Mass. by Olex and Jen. Here is what they have to say about these wonderful little guys. The babies have been with us for about a week now, and they are coming along beautifully. They are still a bit nervous when out of the cage, but are comfortable being picked up, and they run to the cage door every morning to greet us with their baby bellies! These boys are very sweet, and have really shown quite a bit of trust in us. They all take treats gently no one has ever even accidentally nipped. They LOVE to play and are very active, just as babies should be. Gerber puffs are a universal favorite, as are carrots and bananas. These boys will make a great addition to any type of family. Bok Choy is the most mellow, yet cheeky baby ever! He already likes to cuddle as well as to have his play time. He was the first of the babies to take a treat from our hands, and is very happy to be with people. If he was a person, hed be a bit of a couch potato, so he must be destined to be a big, squishy, lap rat! Daikon is an active little man. He loves to tunnel under or through any type of fabric. When theres nothing to tunnel under, theres something to jump over! Daikon has proven his acrobatic skills, and enjoys having toys to play with.
