POSTED 8/7/06 Princess is an Abyssinian and Mama is an American...both are about 2 years old. Each of these girls has had multiple litters, and Princess is probably due to give birth again in the next couple of weeks. Mama hasn't been confirmed as pregnant yet, but it's likely that she is. They will be available for adoption as a bonded pair after their pups have been weaned. Princess & Mama are two well socialized piggies. When I arrived at the apartment where they were being kept, Mama crept out from under a recliner to say hello and sniff my hand. They are the matriarchs of the entire 14 pig herd from that apartment, and are wise and gentle. They will do best in an adults only home, as they deserve a very quiet retirement where they will be spoiled and loved beyond their wildest dreams! UPDATE 6/1/07 - Mama & Princess were separated as they approached their due dates. They have not been happy about trying to be reunited, so have stayed in separate cages next to each other. It was discovered that Princess had a previously broken, but healed broken leg. It healed crooked, so she walks with a funny gait. She is sensitive about being touch near that leg, or being picked up without supporting it. She is sweet otherwise, and really deserves to be with someone who understands her needs and will love her. Mama is also a sweetheart and deserves the same. This pair can be adopted together, but with the understanding that they should not be forced to share the same space again.
