10-10-09 Alissa is still loooking for her forever home! She is great with everything and is very sweet and affectionate but also loves to relax on her own. She is only about 40 pounds so a really great size and maybe 18 months old. She would love to come north and find a place to call home. 5-29-09 Yay for Alissa- she gone to foster home down South and living peacefully with children and 2 male dogs. SHe ia a really sweet girl but still needs to find her forever home- please consider her! 5-21-09 Alissa went to an adoption event with our partner rescue in the south and she was SUCH a good girl - here's what they said "Alissa was such an angel the entire time. She is just a sweet young girl who longs for a place to call home. Her foster mom, Melissa has nothing but nice things to say about this gal. Won't you please give her a chance? " 4-27-09 New pictures of sweet Alissa! 3-9-09 Poor Alissa- she was in a great foster home which got too crowded and now she is living in a crate back at the shelter- she is a very sweet dog and about 40 pounds and maybe 18 months. She loves other dogs and people but will chase cats. She really needs an angel- please help her- she is so confused as to why she is back in a crate. 1-28-09 Alissa is in a foster home in the south with several other dogs but she wants a loving indoor environment without so many furry foster siblings. She is a bit of a dominant female so she would be best in a home as an only dog or with a male dog of her size or bigger. We'd like for Alissa to come north so please agree to foster or adopt this cutie. 11-18-08 The shelter is so full that Alissa is sharing her run with another female dog. At least she has some company - but she sure would appreciate a forever home! Please give this girl a chance. We have found out that Alissa should be in a cat-free home 8/24/08: Poor Alissa. Her owner literally abandoned her at the shelter (actually threw her on the ground) in front of 3 witnesses. Sadly, she kept looking for her owner as he drove away...Despite her traumatic ordeal, she seems to be a very sweet and gentle young girl (maybe 6-8 months old???). **all our pets are in partner shelters in the south unless marked "In Maine" or "In New England"
